Is there premium for I485?
I am not a lawyer but as far as I know there is no Premium for 485. They mentioned they will want to do it at some point in the future but it is not yet available for this application.

Everyone does apply through a body shopper which is not right.. but is there a way out.
If no one is ready to give you a job, then LEAVE to your home country! Period! No one forced you to come to this country. And if you do not have a job then no one has invited you here. You are on your own! But if you want to stay, then abide by the rules. Get yourself into another visa status.
What makes you think everyone files for H-1B through a body shop? This is the lamest statement I have heard on this forum!

Don't make stupid statements like this. It goes to show your intelligence and that you are an instigator. With statements like that you will alienate EB3 more. BTW, I contributed to DC advocacy and many other EB3s also did the same. That money apparently seemed to have have helped EB2 and not EB3.
Regarding you comment on action, many IV leaders are EB3.
It's more of a motivation to get up and do something. How much was collected? I know many ppl contributed but the contribution was very less...so u shut up ur hole or whatever language u prefer to use at ur home. My point was to do rather than posting. If u didn't get that, sorry.

I don't think its much different from what is posted. Only one time contributions are being considered for this event.
I have a shared doc with StarSun and all known ones have been accounted for the above total.
Only one month left to achieve our funding goals.
It does look like there are only a few hundred (~200) willing to actively participate for the good of others. About 0.04 % of all EB2, EB3 filers.
One possible strategy.......
Dividing 50,000 into that, it will be great if you hardworking people, fighting for legal immigrants, can touch about $200-400 each,
while the rest watch from the sidelines and cheer for us :), and also debate & analyze spiritedly.....
I'm at $300 now for this event

We, people with EB3-I priority dates in 2002 2003 2004, should not blame others for our problem. The only way out of this mess for us, I think, is to port from EB3 to EB2. We all need to do it before they scrap that law. We are being too loyal to our original employers. Most of us were working for more than 8 years in the same company. It is time to move-on and search for greener pastures. We checked that there are around 20,000 EB3-I applications in front of us. That, @ 3000 applications per year, means more than 6 years of agonizing wait. We are already waiting for 8 years and I don't know whether we can take 6 more. I think only a mass-porting from EB3 to EB2 should be the answer.

Hey All,- I've not been that active, but will try to be hence forth. Below are my proposals to rephrase the present 'Flower Campaign" press release. I'm open to suggestions.
I felt the need to explain "why the over subscription and what part USCIS had in it" and also in the mean time point to the "overzealous work done by USCIS on June 30 and July 1st".
Sentence in the press release: However, due to over-subscription, thousands of highly-skilled workers, including engineers, scientists and health care professionals have been waiting patiently for years in order to be eligible to apply for their Green cards.
My take on this: Due to inefficiency of USCIS in the past years, 187,000+ visas have been wasted according to Ombudsman report. This act is to be blamed partly for the present scenario of over-subscription of thousands of law abiding and tax paying highly-skilled workers, including engineers, scientists and health care professionals who have been waiting patiently for years in order to be eligible to apply for their Green cards.
USCIS's sudden backlog reduction efforts during the past month have resulted in the use of almost 60,000 Employment numbers among which 18,000 were used on June 30 (Saturday) and July 1st (Sunday) according to (Quote source).

I have been saying all along that one can get a same/similar job after 180 days irrespective of the whether I-140 was approved or not. I don't know why some people / lawyers spread so much mis-information on this topic.

My friend sent her package on may 18th and she saw on uscis that they dated the receipt as june 1st... so that can give you an idea.
I sent mine on June 1st....nothing yet.
on june 6th the immigration.com breaking new claims there is a backlog of receipt for up to 45 days.
I am expecting to get mine at least by june 30th because with the flood of applications on july first....whoi knows

BharatPremi, I hope your predictions are either met or excelled. I will pray for the happiness for your future 7 generation :-). After waiting for so many years, even 2009 does not sound that bad. I know I have no right to complain since many in EB3 have been waiting for years before me.
I also agree that porting to EB2 is not easy. A couple of my friends had their PERM labor itself rejected. I think waiting it out in EB3 may not turn out to be that bad. Or I do hope so....
