On August 7, 2008, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

Please some one has take a lead. I know a very good attorney i.e. Visanow.com. We should try to contact them and find out what are possibility we have to remove the country cap.

Yes, that is one of the parts I loved in this bill.

I do not understand why people spend their energy in coming up with some lame ideas. Just because you suffer does not mean that your fellows have to suffer, what is the point of being a sane individual with that kind of thought process.
There are people who come here on all kinds of visas F1, H1, L1 and like this country and stay back and need a green card for convenience. Students who came here want priority over people who came on H1B. It makes sense from their point of view.
Similarly people on H1B who got stuck in several stages and had to change the company have their own point of view.
How bout having a lame rule saying that GC for people with I.Q of 140 and above?

How bout having a lame rule like if you have a family you will be penalized by putting you at the end of the line for GC?
The list can go endless..
Worry less about who is cutting the line and getting ahead and please concentrate and put your energy and come up with good ideas and showing what we are really capable of..

As proof of funds for landing, do we need to carry cashiers-checks etc or just a plain printout of bank-statement (INGDirect) is good enough?

Previous years Oct Visa Bulletins doesn't look encouraging at all, EB-3 India moved by a week and other categories move by a month or 2. With USCIS taking huge no. of applications in june'07 the future of oct'07 seems to be pretty bleak, It is quiet depressing. We surely need this legislation of ability to file 485 even if visa dates not current.

I am really sorry to hear your condition. I am not sure of any clause for a situation like this or may be there is.
I am neither a God to show you a way nor your friend to be next to you and help you hold your spirit high. All I got is a heart to show and give you an unconditional love and support.
I still cannot breathe after reading this. I juste prayed to God for you. Don't loose your hope. I am sure you are trying or tried all types of cures. I have deep faith in Pranayam/Yoga. Whatever bluesky1 said is true...finally they opened our box. Today I called and rep gave me only I-485 receipt number and told me to wait for mail. USCIS likes everyone to wait for every thing......I have no more information but as soon as I get mail I will post all the info.
3rd july people should call now and I am definite we all were sitting in same box.
What a painful 100 days it was..................hopefully everything is correct on receipt...wait again and see.....

I have a question from members who are getting ADIT Processing message. When did you file your I-485's? I am trying to figure out if USCIS is approving cases for those who filed recently w/o waiting for the ADIT or is it that the case was filed long time back and the previous ADIT has expired.
